BIO Patricia J. Williams is University Distinguished Professor of Law and Humanities at Northeastern University in Boston, and Professor Emerita at Columbia University in New York.

She is the author of The Alchemy of Race and Rights, and a columnist for The Nation Magazine. Her current research explores legal and ethical debates on science and technology.
